About benji taylor:

I’m Benji Taylor. I recently finished recording my first solo album called
“These Things Between Us.” I’m very excited about its release and hope you are
too. I wrote the songs over the past two years with no real goal in mind. It
wasn’t until sometime in the summer of ‘07 that I decided to record an LP. I
recorded in Huntington, WV with Steve Riley. Steve produced the record and
played several instruments on the recordings. Since finishing the album, I have
continued to write new songs that will possibly be released sometime later.

My good friend Jenn Ball created the artwork and design for my record and Paul
Bennett supplied the photography. And I want to say how nice it was to work with
them and how grateful I am to have such talented friends.

I began playing guitar when I was 19 and started writing songs a few years
later. In the beginning, I didn’t write for any other reason than to just record
my thoughts. It served as kind of my own therapy…which was great. Now, I try to
be more specific with my writing and to tell more of the story that I’m living.
I don’t see that these songs necessarily fit within any certain genre. They’re
just simple songs, slow and honest. They give me peace to write them.
