Release Notes:

From Tennessee, the land of fried squirrel, Jack Daniel's and
the burger on the bog incarnation of Elvis, comes the slightly
healthier Jay Lindsay, aka Jay Reatard. A prolific songwriter
and performer, Lindsay has cropped up in many local garage,
surf and punk acts, including his one man band, the Reatards.
In 2008 Matador put out six very limited vinyl singles under
his current Jay Reatard moniker and they all sold out
instantly so this comp is an attempt to meet the demand of
those left disappointed. Listening to the thirteen tracks
here, it not difficult to understand the appeal, each song
delivering an instant hook in its spritely couple of minutes.
Though keyboards pop up occasionally, it's the simple
powerchord guitar rhythms and singalong choruses that have you
reaching for the 'Repeat' button. Goofy pop punk, rooted
around 1978, I'd imagine Graham Coxon would very much approve
and if you like your music to be fun and more palatable than a
deep fried flying rodent then Reatard's your man.
